Strange problem with the Home button I haven't read about on here before

So just a few mins ago my iPhone started being retarded. I press home and it doesn't go home, it goes straight to favorites. I get text messages and when I click reply it goes straight to my favorites. And NO my 1 press Home is not keyed for contacts, because contacts is 2 home clicks. I tried rebooting and no go. Obviously I can't reset factory defaults because it won't let me go anywhere except my favorites. Oh and it's updated to the latest firmware. Any tips or ideas what's going on?
 
Have you tried holding the home button for 10 or so seconds until it force quits the app you are in, as opposed to just clicking it like normal?
