Today I was browsing the web and I suddenly looked at the RAM iStatMenu applet in the menubar and it looked quite full.

I'm wondering if there is something wrong with my MacBook Pro and if I have a defective RAM stick or not. (These are the default 2GB MBP RAM.)

I am only running Firefox with 9 tabs, iTunes, Finder (Doesn't really count, does it?), 1Password, Evernote, Speed Download Lite, and Microsoft Word. Isn't only have 92MB/84MB of RAM a little strange?

The second screenshot is of my MBP running virtually no applications (Finder, Evernote, and Word.), yet it is still taking 1629MB of unaccounted RAM. (Some of it goes to the system, but where is the rest?

Thanks in advance,

Just started up my MBP again-Reports 522MB left. That's... Slightly strange.

About this Mac states I have 2GB (1067 MHz) DDR3 of RAM.

Screenshots of Activity Monitor is below:
(This is on a new boot/startup-~500 (Or currently 460MB) of RAM left.)
