Strange set of images in Application Support/iPhone Simulator

Hi I just discovered a strange set of images in the following location.

/Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/7/0.3-64/Media/Photos/Thumbs/

I don't know where these images are being used and how did they come to my computer. Any ideas?
