I have a bunch of FileMaker Pro databases on my mac. Many of these I open weekly.

Yet, the smart folder definition below shows me an empty window -- no files. But, if I remove the "Last Opened Date" criteria, I plainly see that there are plenty of files with Last Opened Date of ... yesterday.

This odd behavior isn't restricted to FileMaker files. I've duplicated the empty smart folder with any of my smart folders. As soon as I add the Last Opened date is within, say, 365 days, nothing shows up. I have tried other criteria too, like the last 5 years. Still blank.

What gives?

TIA
