Strange SMS bug on ip4

Does this happen to anyone else? If I open an SMS conversation and bring up the keyboard, then return back to the list of conversations, the keyboard stays up and won't go away until I go back to the conversation. Hopefully it will be fixed because it's a little annoying

Experiencing the same thing here.

I have to go back to the message selection page then reenter the chat in order to easily read back through the chat.


A simple done bottom, like the one I am using right now on the keyboard of the safari app would allow minimizing of the keyboard.

It did this prior to iOS4 as well. Highly annoying at times.

I think your bigger issue is that it is showing black boxes where it should be showing the contact name. That's got to be a bit of a pain.

Character Counting Not Working

I do not get that, however I have a whole new issue

I have my SMS counter turned on and sometimes when typing a new or a response my Character Count does not work

I haven't seen that issue yet..the issue I see with the SMS app is when I push the message button to go back to the message lists it scrolls to the top instead...and if you try to delete the SMS app out of the multitasking dock the phone will freeze 9 out of 10 times

I've noticed this aswell but I have noticed that the character don't come on until you go into your second line that's what I've noticed with mine?

Odd, doesn't happen on mine. Try a restore?
