Strange sound

Every now and then my mac mini makes a strange sound. Its like something is dropping? It seems to come from the internal speaker. What is this? Any Ideas?

MAybe it's your hard drive. Sometimes mine sounds like a marble hitting a metal plate.
Some other users have reported this, i take it is normal.

yeah it could be. Sounds like that. But it only does it every now and then. Should it do that more often if the hard drive? I mean its in constant operation.

I don't hear mine that often either, there have been other threads about this, try the search or look up MRoogle in google (it's google for MR, by edesignuk).
I'm not worried about the noise, i hope that's justified .
