I own a Mac Book Pro which is only about 5 months old. A week ago some strange "stains" appeared at the bottom of my screen. It's not dirt as it can't be cleaned...looks like it's inside the screen.

I can't show you what the stains look like, but it's some light greyish dots and "splatters" or patches...... similar to as if water has seeped in.

But i haven't spilled anything on my MBP at all. I have cleaned my screen with a damp cloth before but it's not like dripping wet or anything, and i always dry it immediately with another piece of dry cloth.

Does anyone have any idea what the stains are?? :(

I would take in to a apple store and get the display replaced. I had somewhat of the same thing except it was off the right. If you take it in and can show it to them they can replace the display.

Completely off the subject i just looked at your speedtest and wonder why you have it in your signature... are you making a point to show that your ISP is slow?

I attached mine just to compare. :p

Off topic I know, but over 70,000kbs, that's insane! I want your connection please...

Had no idea the speed thing was in my signature, I can't see it! :p

So I guess I'll just have to bring it in to change...
