As others have mentioned, I've got some strange stains on the bezel of my 15 inch rMBP.

That's what they look like, and I have no idea how they appeared. I take great care of my Macbook and I've never dropped it or anything. Does anybody know what's causing it? It seems to be getting worse and it's starting to bug me.

This happened to me in the middle! of the screen. It's the stupid coating apple uses peeling off. They replaced my display for free even though my warranty expired 12 months ago
 
That's not a stain, that's the coating rubbing off. There's long thread here about this occurring to others

There's unfortunately nothing you can do. If its in warranty then definitely see if Apple will replace/repair it.
 
Well that's frustrating. For over 2 grand I honestly didn't think I'd have to worry about issues like these. Whatever, thanks for everyone's help.
