I manually created some text clipping files by selecting text from web pages (in Firefox) and dragging to a folder in my Google Drive folder. At a remote location on a very similar machine running the same OS and software I opened the clipping files and found to my chagrin that the content had disappeared. Instead of "clipping contents: text" along the bottom of the window there appeared "clipping contents: unknown". Does anyone have an idea as to what's happening? Thanks in advance for insights.

edit: The problem does not appear to be on the Mac side unless, possibly, it could be considered a design flaw in Mac OS clipping files (I'm sure this will be Google Apps support's POV.). It appears that Google Drive does not support Mac clipping files. I created a clipping file on my desktop and uploaded it to Google Drive. Then I went to my Mac's Google Drive folder and found the newly synced version of the clipping file and opened it, only to find that the content had been lost. I can only hope that working with the clipping file folder on my home Mac has not caused the original folder of clipping files on my work machine to sync with Google Drive. Google Apps needs to fix this!
