I just installed the new Parallel desktop 4.0(Build 3810) on my macbook(Tiger, updated to the most recent version) and found strange things. After windows xp was installed by the typical setting without any modification, before I installed any anti-virus soft, I opened ie (6.x) for the first time but it can not connect to its default homepage(www.microsoft.com/......). So I tried other sites and found it could connect to some site(Like Google) but failed on others (Like msn, microsoft, big sites contains more information). I also tried to log in with live messenger but failed. Same thing happened even if I disable windows' firewall(which should not block its own site at beginning). I logged on windows and mac with administration privileges so it can not be the result of lacking authorization.

I have consulted the help page on parallel's web, but only found solution about no network connection which was not help(At least I can search on Google!). Even though, I checked all setting and did not found any problems, at least according to the troubleshooting pages.

I tired the whole installation on my wife's macbook(Leopard, updated) and everything is normal. So I decided to copy the visual disk files to my Tigers but same things happened.

I am really puzzle by this "selective network connection". It seems that something wrong happens between the visual machine and my Mac. I do not want to reinstall my MAC OS for this so I come here for help, or at least someone could explain to me why such things could happen.

Thank you for all help!
