I shut down my MacBook Pro this morning and when I went home to lunch I started it back up and it was telling me my date was wrong and to reset it. It was showing a date in 2008:eek: also I did not have any WiFi connection.

Any body experience this?

I've heard reports of macs turning themselves on and doing photoshop...looks like time to call ghostbusters.AGAIN.

it's really common; i've seen people getting a warning with '1969' showing as the year...

try resetting the PRAM (command-option-P-R) on startup; wait for THREE chimes.

then, go to your date & time, and make sure it's set to "set time automatically'.

I have had multiple instances of my iMac and Mac Pro resetting the time when I have turned them off. Not really bothered by it as I have my iPhone always beside me.
