Hey guys!

So i decided, to keep my iMac's temp down, other than using the SMCFan control app i would simply shut the system down when i wasnt using it. But this appears to have done something, now when booting (i set the bootargs to boot in verbose) i see this for about 2mins before the system continues booting.

SMC::smcNotificationPublishedHandler ERROR: smcWriteKey NTOK failed - The system will not recieve interupts.

Or something along those lines.

This has caused the fans to run at full speed at all times (i had it like this with SMCFan control anyway) but now the actual SMCFan control app reports this on startup:

"Unknown error. Application terminated."

Edit: Also, i no longer get the power light that i see when i turn on, even in sleep mode it doesnt blink.

Edit 2: I've reset PRAM as well, no dice. Is it possible the thermal sensor just short circuited? Apparently if that goes, the fans always go on full RPM.
