Hi,
A friend of mine has a MBP (non-retina, bought in 2013) running Mountain Lion as well as Windows 7 through Parallels 7's Coherence function.
Lately (not sure how long it's been going), she has been experiencing odd visual hiccups throughout the system [see attached screenshot 1], as well as freezes and slowdowns (she was not able to be more specific as to where the slowdowns happen, unfortunately...).
The most critical thing she has experienced is that the log-on screen apparently has a tendency to multiply and layer itself leading to multiple log-on screens sandwiched on top of each other (meaning she has to enter her password a bunch of times in order to close them al off). [see attached screenshot 2]
The obvious solution seemed to me to be to upgrade to Mavericks and see if that fixes anything - unfortunately, Parallels 7 appears to be incompatible with Mavericks, and she is adamant to avoid shelling out 50$ just to get her laptop to work as it should.
So, my question is are there any other steps I could take to try to fix this problem? Any idea what it is, by looking at the screenshots? For some reason, it only seems to happen when I'm not around, meaning I can't provide any meaningful insight into what applications may be causing the issues
