I have a Google Alert set up to notify me of references to my site (I've been victim of 'identity theft' trolls). I've been getting reports once or twice a week for about six months, with nothing unusual to speak of.

Yesterday, strange, seemingly automatically-generated pages have started mentioning my URL. They all have the same format (red h1 title, black text, random keywords, weird data) but are hosted at all different domains.

Anyone know wtf? Frontpage virus affecting the owners' sites? Search Engine exploit?
