As I mentioned, yes. That’s what is I have peeled off

You had a question mark, I wasn’t sure.

Is it the screen protector (or adhesive) reacting with the screen coating? Have both other instances been with a screen protector?

I do not know, but it seems to be under the display glass the black is gone.

You say you have had that happen more than once on this MBPro?
Does it only happen after you install the screen protector?
Could it be possible that the screen "protector", in fact, damages that corner?

I guess my last question then: Do you really need a screen protector?

The reason of it being there is to prevent the keyboard markings to show up and damage the screen

There's a bit of irony, there...
The "keyboard marking", which may not even happen for most, but your "fix" appears to damage the screen, anyway --- And you say you have already had a few screens with similar damage (?)
Perhaps there's something to learn from this -- somewhere.

That should be disgusting to look at that screen with that plastic in front
Actually, it’s not bad at all. Screen quality is normal. No dust or air bubbles. It does a good job preventing keyboard markings.
