Hi,
Sorry, I can't describe the problem better then this title.
My iMac running the latest Sonoma (but had the same problem under Ventura) disconnects from my wifi every now and then, sometimes every 30 minutes, sometimes it holds a few hours,...
It can't connect to my network anymore and there is no internet. All my other devices though, stay perfectly connected (iPhone, 2 Apple TV's, Windows laptop,...)
I had this problem before I remember, but never bothered since my iMac was on ethernet and then there was no problem.
Now I can't connect by ethernet because in Sonoma my mac won't connect to my airplay reciever on ethernet, only on wifi. So I unplugged it to have airplay. But now I have the wifi problem ofcourse.
I have another guestnetwork in my house, and whenever the connection to the mainwifi disconnects, I can simply connect to the guest network and than I have internet again. If a wait a few minutes and switch back to my main network, it's all good again.
I'm puzzeled, since only my iMac has problems with this network, so it doesn't seem like a problem with my wifi. I doubt it's a hardware problem since I don't have the problem with the guest wifi network. It has nothing to do with my internetconnection since ethernet works fine and all other devices have no problem at all.
At this moment I have the choice between stable internet, wifi on the guestnetwork, so no localnetwork or no airplay,...
Any ideas?
