Strange windows startup with boot camp

I have made the conversion to mac from windows. I have a mac book pro 15 that I bought a few months ago. I need to run xp for some programs and games. I have sucessfully installed XP using boot camp bata. Everything seems to work well except for one thing. When I first startup windows using the option key or if I have the computer set to boot to windows the startup proceeds until windows is almost loaded the it stops and restarts. Since windows was not shut down correctly, it goes to check the disk for errors. As part of this process you can hit any key to skip disk checking which of course does not work. It continues the disk check and then the second time it boots and works OK. Now for the weird thing it only does this on the first boot of the day. If I get it to boot and then shut it down and restart windows it will boot ok the first time. I don't have any other problems and I have bought a macpro and have the same install and it boots normally each time. Anyone have any ideas? I have reloaded both the mac operating system and the windows operating system and it still does this weird thing.
