I bought a 15 pro (refurbed by apple) to use only as a video camera, on a DJI gimbal. I'm very disappointed by the low audio quality. My 15 is not connected as a phone and still on IOS 18. Here's my youtube test/comparison. Both phones are at 1080 60P and neither phone has any internal EQ available

Strangely Low quality audio when video-ing

There's not enough difference in the resulting two videos audio specs to account for it.
The Pixel sure does have a nice stereo field along with the fidelity that works well in that scenario.
I think you can hear a similar difference in this camera comparison video at the 4:00 mark:
This leads me to believe there's nothing wrong with the iPhone…it's just not as good in that situation.
