I'm in a very bad situation right now, I have to write a 2 page essay on stranger in a strange land due Wednesday night 9/29 and quite frankly I can't pick up much character development from the book. My essay topic is "Select a character that exemplifies one of Heinlein’s major themes." I'm not asking for my essay to be done for me, but anyone who has ideas on what i could write about help me please. And be specific and give details Thanks

Two pages? I could fill 50 pages from Stranger in a Strange Land...it's one of my fave books.

There is quite a bit of character development. Look at Jubal Harshaw at the start of the book vs the end. Or the character of Jill. Or Ben's entire experience when he first visits the Church of All Worlds vs when Jubal finds out he's moved in with them. (or whatever it was called.)

Or you could take the cop-out approach and look at Mike's journey from alien to human.

The point is, there's a bunch of characters to choose from.

well summary of his themes

"The importance of individual liberty and self-reliance, the obligation individuals owe to their societies, the influence of organized religion on culture and government, and the tendency of society to repress non-conformist thought. He also examined the relationship between physical and emotional love, explored various unorthodox family structures, and speculated on the influence of space travel on human cultural practices. "

You could write another book by picking one of those and looking at Stranger in a Strange Land

This essay should write itself. A ton of characters develop in relation to the major themes of the book. Did you read the entire book?
