Hey guys, so today i left my macbook in charge and i came back and opened my macbook lid and it suddenly went black, so i pressed the power button and it loaded back up but to the OS X Utilities thing, so i thought this was odd and i restarted it and the same thing happened again. So i restarted again but i pressed alt/option so i could see the bootable drives and the only drives i saw was the 150mb ish Utilities drive, so i went in it and went into disk utility and tried to repair my drives which didn't work, and it basically said my drives were completely wiped (i freaked out for the better part of 10 minutes), so i tried installing a new version of mavericks from the Utilities and the hard drive wasn't even recognised(same case with a time machine restore) and i thought ok ill buy a new SSD to replace the HDD in this early 2011 macbook, so i opened up the macbook just to get a feel for where the harddrive is and stuff. I took the hard drive out and then plugged it back in. I didn't have any of my files back but now it was recognisable and i was able to restore from a time machine backup. So i was wondering what was truly wrong with it and why had my files been wiped and why was it unrecognisable. If you have any questions about anything to do with my HDD please ask in the comments and i will try answer.
