anyone find their silicon strap doesn't "lock" into place?
my new series 6 and the blue silcion strap - one end of the strap seems to slide right thru without locking into place.

i tried it on the other end of the watch and it locks fine, and the other end of strap locks fine into both ends, so not quite sure what the issue is!

the strap part with the holes locks in fine on either end.
the strap part with the loop slides right thru on the end nearest the crown, it locks in fine on the other end of the watch.

i can see no apparant issues with either the strap or the watch.

This happened to me when I got my Series 6, but then I realized I had the strap upside down 🤦‍♂️

make sure the "buttons" on the strap are moving freely. (the center one should move up and down a bit)

you could try running the end under the sink and pressing on it to clear any possible dirt.

make sure the track in the watch is clean, you can also put the watch under the faucet and rinse it out

and just to point out the painfully obvious, the straps only lock one way, if it's upside down (you've got the part that goes towards the back of the watch going toward the front. ) , it will catch a bit, but then slide right out.

Does this happen with all bands or just this one? If it’s just the one, it’s the band

definitely not upside down

all moving freely, and all work fine when in the bottom slot, just not in the top slot

i only have the 1 strap

attached is a photo to help clarify

the strap part highlighted strap, this slides without locking in that slot
the strap part highlighted in yellow locks fine in that slot

when i switch the straps around they both lock in all OK - this would suggest that both the tabs and tracks are fine.
so i can't understand why only 1 part of the strap doesn't lock when places on the top slot.

I think it could be manufacturing tolerances on certain sport straps in general because every once and awhile mine will do it also. I usually wiggle it around and move it back and forth slightly and it will lock in place. My sport loops work fine only my sport strap seems to be affected

You tried sliding in from either side?
It appears to be the case but if you got it from Apple ID go back there…

Yeah it just sides straight thru no matter what side it enters from, but only does this in the top slot. In the bottom slot it locks in just fine.

the other part of the strap locks in fine in both slots

You got to try your band on a different watch, and you got to try a different watch with your band to figure this out… one or the other has an issue

Attach the side in where it should go and then once it's in place, press firmly down against the center lug until you hear the locking click. Here is a video showing what to do. I have one band that doesn't lock into place unless I do this and it works perfectly!

My sport band that came with the watch doesn’t fit perfect.
the down strap takes a lot of tries, I followed some tip from a YouTuber : put the band in place, and slowly pull it down, like stretching (but not really stretching).

after this tip , it only takes about 15 tries instead of an hour.
the silicon is fatter for some reason.
But I never use that band anymore, just my nylon sport loop now.
