Hi All,

Happily been using Strava on my Apple Watch S2 for years

I’ve just noticed though, the workout stats have stopped going into my IOS ACTIVITY stats since Feb 2020

I’ve googled and see there was some “new Features“ for Strava feb 2020...

Please assist:

Q1. how to I import the missing data into activity?

Q2. How do I set up, so Strava will import from now on?

Bit gutted it just stoppped working and no notice given to user 😭

Regards
Martin

Have you checked the privacy settings for the Strava and health connection?

I record with the stock AW app then use HealthFit to sync them to Strava and it works like a dream, all in the background without any buttons to press.

Hi H,

Thanks for the quick reply 😀

2 questions:

Q1) When imported into Strava, does the strava Segments work?
I have it as a free app, so don’t have any fancy add ons

Q2) If not “Start Button” pressed - does AW pick up cycling at start, or after the 1st mile Etc?

Hope you can advise

Regards
Martin

Update:

Just checked iPhone.

I’ve got back the last month’s Strava data onto the ACTIVITY data! 👍👍

However:

I’m missing March - 24th MAY 2020 data though.

How do I get this back onto the Activity data?

Cheers
Martin

Q1 - Segments work fine for me, as far as I'm aware.

Q2 - I'm not sure about cycling, but running it tends to pick it up after 10 minutes or so (and it still records the 10 minutes before starting). I tend to just ask Siri to Start the workout and then get going.

Great news! I've had a look on Strava and unfortunately looks like it only lets you migrate the last 30 days of workouts; you can use HealthFit (£3.99 on the App Store I think, but worth it) and that can go back through ALL your data from different apps and sync it wherever you tell it to. You can also back all your workout data up to iCloud and Googledrive too.

Hope this helps! 👍

Hi H,

RE: Healthfit - wow that’s sounds cool, I’ll look into It, thanks 😀

RE: Siri
- I have a S2 watch and Siri has always been laggy and inconsistant by the time I get around to trying it. I tried it for the 1st time with the watch last year, and Gave up with it in the end a while.
- Hopefully a lot better on the latest more powerful apple watches
- I was hoping to get a new one this fall, with always on display and a FINGERPRINT reader. Looks like it will be next year now of even 2022 when that comes out.

Hi H,

Is that app under a different name? 🤓

I’ve just gone to the App Store, and the app ”Healthfit” looks like some kind of reader for health info

Thanks in advance 👍

Thanks H,

great link, didn’t know you could do that!

Strange when I typed in “Healthfit” into the App Store it came up with something else completely 😳

I’ll take a look whnem I get a moment 👍
