I need a software to play movies over dlna from my iMac to my Samsung TV..

It has to play .mkv files with subs included.

So far I've tested these ones:

Plex (Could not play .MKV's - with subtitles -)
Eyeconnect (Could not play MKV files)
Serviio (Could not play MKV's with subs, Does not always find my TV)
TVMobili (Could not play MKV with subs)

Any more ideas ?

I could be mistaken but I could swear that this works for me. Streaming from a Mac mini running 10.7 and a like 2 - 3 revision old version of Plex media server to a new Samsung Plasma with the Plex widget installed. I may give it a try later and report back.

Are you sure the MKVs do indeed have subs embedded, like do they show properly when watching on your Mac?

Russian

That is a Russian Format why not keep it simple Use One of the many free apps available, convert to MP4 and put on a thumb drive, plug into the Samsung AND ITS DONE.
ANYTHING WIRELESS IS PROBLEMATIC its just not worth the hassle
