Apart from air playing your home library, is it possible to ask the HomePod to steam from your home library ?

Seems to defeat the object of the excercise if you have to go to your computer and select a track or album to AirPlay it to the Homepod, then go back and do it again when you want something else ?

I'm not 100% sure I understand your question fully, but I will say that if you have an iPhone or iPad or Mac, and you have set up an Apple Music app thereon, then you can ask the HomePod to play from any of your libraries on those devices, or from any playlists you set up on them, etc. The HomePod should cycle through those songs in those libraries and/or playlists, or even play radio stations you have set up. If you want to play a specific song, just ask the HomePod to play it. If you want to play songs from a specific library or playlist, ask he HomePod to do that and it will cycle through the songs therein. This assumes you have connected the HomePod via iCloud to your music.

If you have an iPad or iPhone nearby, you can use it to control the music on the HomePod, which is easier than going to your Mac. You can open the Home app on the iPad or iPhone and access the HomePod and control it from there without actually "airplaying". You would be using the iPhone (for example) as a remote to control the HomePod.

What if I’m still using iTunes on Monterey ? I’m guessing that won’t work ?
