Stream video with Mini DV camera..

I have been searching and searching and it seems that the ONLY interface I could find to stream movies live from my canon ZR 950 mini DV camera are for Windows computers..

I know its possible, the video just needs to be processed before its streamed through the computer, but what EXACRTLY do I need to do this?

I have an isight camera which i used for streaming last time, but i would love to have more portability (than stuck on my laptop) and better quality next time

Ok.. never mind. i feel like a dope.. i plugged my cam. in via firewire and there it was.. popped up on ustream.

Im so excited about this i wanna start streaming something but theres nothing to stream!
