Hi...
This thing is bugging me and I have no idea what to do. Sometimes I'll have an avi file that only shows up as blank white in Quicktime. I do have latest versions of QT pro, perian and flip4mac.
So, I'll open it up in Mpeg Streamclip to export a as quicktime movie. The problem is is that I keep it set at its defaults, no scaling and whatever the compression is. (by the way, there is about a million compression choices.. how in Gods name can anyone possibly know what each one does??!)
To get back....my problem. Say the original avi file size is 100mb. But when I covert it to quicktime the file becomes maybe a gig, gig and a half larger! This happens whether or not I leave the quality setting at default (50%) or 100%.
How the heck to I convert it without ballooning the file size?
Thanks
