The first clue something was off was that 2 different songs were playing at once - NOT like a mashup. Then colorbars? Ok. Then just as Tim took to the stage to begin freezing. Then Tim comes back to life, but over his audio is the sound of the Mandarin translator. The video sticks and jumps around, and suddenly I'm watching people getting seated again. Then live video, then live audio over delayed video. Still Mandarin. Then strobing between people sitting and the presentation. And colorbars again. Then it played for like 5 minutes normally, and stopped and resume at a 12 minute delay. It was part way through the Apple Watch that it finally calmed down and played as normal, though significantly delayed.
Afterwards, I was able to watch the rebroadcast on the web and Apple TV. But it would start in the middle and have the wrong timecode. Then they pulled it from both with promises of it being back shortly. Now there's a broken Quicktime link on http://www.apple.com/live/2014-sept-event/ and the Apple TV *still* says "Coming Soon."
That said, I generally liked what I was able to see, but this was a complete embarrassment. I don't think I've ever seen a stream as bad. Pirate sites deliver better work.
