I'm thinking about jumping ship from my unlimited data plan carrier (AT&T) to Verizon -where I'd need to select a tiered data plan. Problem is, I stream radio on my phone all day at work via the 3G network (no wifi available at work).

Anyone have any work around suggestions as to how to stream radio without plowing thru a data plan (and with no access to wifi)?

The short answer is, no.
Medium length answer is, no, and don't do it! lol

Longer would be this: The only reasonable solution I can think of is to go VZW and somehow finagle a Sprint unlimited MiFi. If those are even possible. I'm not familiar with Sprint for the most part.

I'm in a similar boat as you; Except I'm already on VZW with unlimited data (3G) and I absolutely obliterate any would-be caps. Streaming SiriusXM from 6am - 6pm I burn 11-12GB/day along with my occasional Netflix/Hulu.

My only solution now is to grab an LTE device and ride it out.
