Hi all,
OK, here's my setup. I don't want/need to store any of my music/home movies on my Apple TV hard drive. It's connected via Ethernet to my iMac, so I'd rather just stream content.
Therefore I have set my Apple TV to 'Custom Sync' (and deselected 'Show only the synced items on my Apple TV'. Under Movies and Music, none of the sync options are selected. It is my understanding that this means I can stream anything in my library.
Here's my problem. When I first started using Apple TV, I would see new music/movies that I added to iTunes on the Apple TV almost immediately. But now, even hours after I add them, they do not show up on Apple TV. All I have to do is go into iTunes, right click on Apple TV and click 'Sync' and the new movies show up.
I guess even when you stream media Apple TV needs to sync up the library itself. How do I automate this or make it occur more often? It's obviously cumbersome to have to manually sync the Apple TV each time I add content.
Thanks in advance!
