Streaming HD + 5.1 audio from iPad to ATV

Hey guys,

I'd like to know if there a way of encoding my videos so they stream from my iPad to my Apple TV in HD and surround sound.

I tried encoding them in MP4 with DTS, AC3 and AAC 6 channels.

iTunes won't let me even copy the AC3 files to my iPad. DTS won't produce any sound on either the iPad or on the TV and AAC plays in stereo instead of surround.

Is there any codec combination that would make this work?
