My hardware:
iMac 5K
Wii U
Elgato HD60
Skullcandy PLYR1 headset
Second monitor
As far as I know, the hardware is all setup just fine. However, when I go to stream, I have to mess with settings in Audio MIDI Setup, System Preferences, OBS and/or Elgato software for a while, before I get the audio to be sent through the stream. Highly annoying.
I've looked at a few guides. Have my software setup how others do it, but I seem to be missing something or maybe something isn't saving properly, but this is giving me a headache. I need a fix that works.
Update:
I've narrowed it down to just messing with the Audio MIDI Setup for a while, before I can get the audio to function.
Also, I get a lot of static sometimes. Again, to solve this I mess with the settings for a while. Basically I just keep switching the audio devices around, within Audio MIDI Setup, until it functions properly. I've ruled out hardware, since without any of the streaming required software/hardware, my headset functions just fine.
I did do a firmware update to the headset, which the company suggested I do. At the time, I assumed the static was caused by the headset, but messing with settings in Audio MIDI Setup I can get them working just fine... for a short time. Then more static and back to messing with settings again.
