I'm in the market for a new TV. It's actually my 1st Plasma/LCD TV purchase. One thing that I'm stuck on is how I want to stream my media content. I have an account with Netflix and mostly stream that through my Xbox 360 plus ESPN. I would really like to get an ATV2, possibly jailbreak it, and use that as my main form of streaming. Is it worth getting a TV that is internet ready? Would that eliminate the use of an ATV2? I don't have cable so I was hoping to use the jb ATV2 as my main source for media.

Also, any other advice on TV's would be great if you want to throw that in! :D

you can get a DLNA capabile tv, and it can stream content. its not a very good interface on my samsung, but it functions. I use tvMobli DLNA server for it, and can play MKV bluray rips to it via a wired connection, but like I said, the interface aint pretty.

ATV2 with airvideo is nice for other formats if you dont want to jailbreak. I hear plex is really nice on a JB ATV2 but I have never used it.
