I understood that since the latest apple watchOS 6 update, that third parties app developers could now develop apps that does away with needing my iPhone nearby, utilizing the LTE aspect of the watch (which I pay £5 a month). Allowing me to be on my merry way, streaming music from my Spotify account and listening to the radio from the BBC, for instance.
However, since the watchOS update, I waited in anticipation for app developers to take up this opportunity, but nothing. I cannot find any clear information that confirms my understanding above or why I cannot find any app developers that have this streaming service available, at least to offer a range of radio stations.
Can anyone help me, give me some indication as to the future of streaming directly to apple watch?
