Streaming music Energy Impact

Am I missing something, or do all the non-Apple Music streaming services perform very harshly in terms of battery use.

On my 2015 rMBP (Yosemite, and now El Cap public beta) Spotify has Energy Impacts around 30-40, Amazon Music nearing 100. iTunes streaming Apple Music is around 2-3.

I expect Apple apps to perform better, but this seems substantially better, to the point that I don't use Spotify or Amazon music simply because of the battery impact. Same reason I switched from Chrome to Safari.

Is there anything to be done? Are there simpler versions of Spotify or Amazon music that don't drain the battery like this?
