OK, I hope this doesn't make me sound TOO much like a newbie...but up until most of my friends starting buying iPods (and sometimes associated Macs) we have more of an interest in STREAMING (not sharing) music to each other over the Internet. I never really paid attention to iTunes' sharing features, but is there a way to stream music from my iTunes library to another iTunes user (not on a local network - across the Web)?

If you want to do it over the web in iTunes you need to setup a VPN and make sure that they all exist in the same subnet.

If you want to just stream music then something like Quicktime Broadcaster or Shoutcast will stream music in mp3 format over the web and can be received in iTunes / winamp / xmms etc.. etc...
