Streaming music via bluetooth from macbook pro?

So if I bought a bluetooth base station from logictech or the tunestage 2 from belkin, could I just stream music from my macbook pro to my stereo? I mean, it's bluetooth to bluetooth, right? Or must I use that logitech bluetooth attachment for the ipod and plug it into the 3.5 mm audio out jack of the macbook pro as well?

Not sure what the problem is. It's fairly easy to pair a Bluetooth speaker and a MacBook or iMac.
