Streaming music without wifi

Is it possible to send output from iPad to a DAC which has USB connectors? There used to be a camera connection kit, not sure if there are any solutions out there.

Reason is that wifi streaming has a habit of dropping the data so wired is much to be preferred especially for hi resolution (lossless).

Not that I know, but what about a BT receiver to connect it to the dac?

Apple does make a Lightning to USB.
