Streaming music...

Hi everyone. I am new to macs. I like to stream music through Pandora or Lastfm while browsing other internet sites. Now, with my PC, I would minimize the Pandora page and click on internet explore again to start surfing the web all the while listening to pandora streaming music. With my MBP, I am listening to pandora streaming music, but when I minimize it and click on Safari, Pandora's site comes right back instead of Safari's home page?
Not sure what I am doing wrong. I am sure there is a simple solution...please advise a new user. Thanks.

Hmm, you could do cmd-n or right click on safari in your dock and click new window
