I currently play Pandora through my home theatre using my PS3, but as all the interface has to be done through the PS3, it is not the most convenient as I have outside speakers that I use and with the current configuration I can't adjust volume or change music.

I do stream iTunes through my apple tv and with the remote app I can change songs and adjust volumes remotely from my iPhone or iPad. It is great, but sometimes I want to listen to pandora and I seen to be limited.

I have looked at pandora jam but that ties me to my iMac. I have looked at airfoil but it doesn't seem like a good fit either. I am not really interested in hacking my apple tv ( gen 1) and figure there has to be an app out there that allows me to stream from my iPad to my home theatre and use my iPad a giant remote.

Anyone heard of anything like this?

Thanks!

Airplay streaming from iOS 5 should sort you out :) well that if you like the pandora app on the iPad

cool. At first glance though, not sure if it is supported on either the old apple TV I have or the old airport express I have.

I stream Slacker through HT with my PS3 via a Windows 7 64 Bit PC running Jamcast Software. Check it out. It works perfectly.
I use my kitchen HP Touchsmart with Slacker.com....select the music I want to hear and stream it through PS3 to HT utilizing Jamcast.

This looks very interesting. If there is any way I can get it to work native on my iPad we could be in business.

Or can't you purchase a dock, (if your AV Receiver supports it, my Yamaha does), that will allow you to connect your ipad to your HT?

OR better yet this one:

Think you missed my point. I was trying to take the ipad or iphone with me. I can play content right now through my apple tv or airtunes, but not pandora.

I basically want the flexibility I have with airtunes with pandora.

Maybe a new apple tv when ios5 comes out

well, I have found a way! The app remoteHD and the corresponding hack to the Gen 1 Apple TV that goes along with it will give you airplay to your gen 1 apple tv! Not strong enough for video game but for streaming pandora it works! Volume control and song selection all through you iPad direct to your HT. :):D

CultHero, could you please elaborate! I want to do this too!!
Let me get this straight, you've found a way to stream "pandora" from your iphone4, to your 1st gen apple tv??? This sounds awesome!!
If I download the "remoteHD" app, I should be able to figure it out?
Just want to make sure first. It's an $8 app.
Thanks man!
