Hey. Who did this last year and can reckmmend a service. The CBS sports app on my Apple Tv took too ling to load due to the high traffic. Was the yotubeTV good? Hulu? Has anyone tried Slingtv?

Thanks for input. I just wanna watch the game without payment ng for the total Cable Package.

If you've got a smart TV or a module connected that supports 802.11ac with a 5 Ghz channel, you should be able to stream without issue provided your internet isn't terrible.

That depends. The DirecTV app is terrible and will freeze/lag even with a 100/10 connection with a low ping/no jutter. During the college football championship the stream (NBC I think) also went down at times.

That more or less depends on their infrastructure. I'd be more confident streaming through YouTube than DirecTV or even HBO, as an example. Because streaming is that company's main product and they're damn good at it. The conflicting info being that HBO's streaming is based off of the MLB's in-house built system set atop AWS, except it's crap. Most streaming services off of AWS are well engineered and offer terrific performance.

Also, it's DirecTV. They suck at everything.

Thanks for advice. I think i'll try Youtube TV, I have NBC Sports on Apple TV, but the last time I tried to stream via AppleTV it took FOREVER to load.

This thread represents why reason why I chose to go back to cable. I found the streaming solutions to be inadaqute in what they offer and/or the performacne of their offerings. Sounds like the DirecTV app is just as bad as the ESPN app which stuttered or froze regularly.

Youtube TV if its offered in your location may be your best bet. The thing with this is, that you're signing up to multiple streaming solutions and your cost will outstrip what cable charges.
