I use, and love, Air Video for iPad and iPhone. Server goes on the PC, and the app sucks the video, with it converted on the fly on the PC if necessary.

you would need something like Splashtop Remote to play a DVD. Splashtop gives you full control of your desktop from the iPad.

you would need something like Splashtop Remote to play a DVD. Splashtop gives you full control of your desktop from the iPad.

Splashtop was/is amazing! I got it way back when it first debuted for $.99 and it's been the best money i spent on apps so far, great on the iP4 and iPad!
