Streaming video from home over the internet

So I bought a new MBA 13inch and I was wondering if I could set up my home computer so that I could stream video over the internet to my MBA at school?

I haven't tried it, but I believe Plex has that capability.

STREAMTOME app for your Macbook air (free, $$ for ipad/iphone) and SERVETOME (free online) to the home computer. Supports 720p and 1080p if your computer is strong enough, if not does 480p. On the fly it converts any file to play on the macbook air.

Highly recommend this if you have lots of movies. Watch movies any where with wifi available.
