Streaming Video from iPad to ATV question

I'd like to know if an iPad ATV combo will do the following:

Verizon FIOS took away The Weather Chanel which is a real bummer. But, I have a cablevision subscription at my other house and can use the xfinity app to stream TWC live on my iPad. So I'm wondering if I can AIRPLAY that from my iPad to an ATV on my TV?

I've read all kinds of posts about apps having to "allow" video streaming and some apps that just won't pass the video. Does anyone know if this xfinity app will pass the video to ATV?

If you mean the xfinity TV GO app, I can stream all content to my Apple tv using airplay. Weather Channel included.
