Hello,
i have a few large Videos on my PC that i want to be able to stream to my macbook air. The file sizes are around 500mb each and the file types are AVI and WMV.
I tried doing this first by sharing my PCs drives over the network and then just double-click the files on the macbook air. When I do this quicktime starts up and keeps pretending to load the video for a while and then shows an error that the video could not be loaded. I don't think its an issue with the video format necessarily because i installed a codec pack on the mac that supposly has everything needed.
my second approach was to use RDP. This worked but the performance of the video through the rdp connection was not satisfying.
I would buy some specialized mac software for this is needed. what i won't do is convert the videos or copy them or something like that.
Thanks for any info.
