...or Mac, o' course.

First, I feel it's important to begin my Mac Forums career as I mean to go forth. Therefore.

FIRST POST WOOT!!
:D

Anyway, what I'm wanting to do is stream .mov or .mp4 from my hard drive to my touch over WiFi, using my PC as a file server, but I can't really make it happen. Tried using a bunch of file server stuff, but can only get the little "won't play" QT icon or w/e.

Ideas?

What do you mean???

Do you mean streaming video to your touch from your PC/Mac???

Well im not sure there is something like that because of how bad the quality would be and how choppy and slow it would be also...

But there is a program that lets you see what you are doing on your computer via the ipod touch or iphone.

The program is called RemoteBuddy

Why would it be choppy and/or slow? If i can stream video off the web with a 2Mb connection, I can stream off my PC with a 54 connection, no?

Or maybe I'm being naive...

Or, how about this; can I use a QT control inside a web page I write, then host on my PC, use (eg) iwebsaver to save it all from the local network onto my touch?
