Streaming?

I was thinking of buying a domain name and then DNS hosting it on my computer. Then I would stream music and videos all converted for the iPhone (and all of the content legal) to be able to play it on my iPhone 3G...

Would it work to make the main page just a list of songs, videos, and photos and then once you click on it it plays the content?

Yep, as long as they are .mp3's and quicktime videos.

If it is an MP3 or Quicktime video or Photo will it open in the appropriate app for each (i.e. iPod and Photos)?
