Currently in a dilemma regarding my 2016 MBP. Back in September 2017, my MBP died while connected to the charging adapter and would not turn on at all no matter what I did. Took it in to Apple and Apple replaced logic board and laptop worked perfectly. Fast forward to January 2018, my MBP started having issues with the screen. After the laptop was asleep for several hours, it would have horizontal lines and bottom 90% of screen was frozen. Took it again to Apple, and they replaced the logic board, display, and a cable. My Apple Care warranty is expiring and trying to decide if I need to extend or take the risk. Any thoughts? I've never had this many issues with a Apple product.

Can you still extend it? I know Apple change Apple Care + to where you have to buy within 60 days of purchase but I don't know if that effected the 2016's when you bought it...

If you can extend it and you are keeping the machine then absolutely do so! A KB replacement is $700 plus alone never mind other issues that may arise..

From the factory, it comes with a 1-year warranty.
You can buy AppleCare (which will extend the warranty to 3 years), but YOU MUST BUY IT BEFORE the 1-year warranty is up.

If you haven't done so, it might be a good idea, since your MBP has been having issues.
The keyboard on these is a particularly weak spot.
If you start having key failures in year 2 or year 3, without AppleCare, that will be a $700 fix!
This makes AppleCare worth it, in my opinion...
