Hello all,
I am experimenting with iTunes 10.6.3. Let me preface with I really don't know what I am doing, but figured I should just try. I am working on a dual core 2.3 G5 in Sorbet Leopard.
When I examined the package contents between the 10.6.3 installer and the 12.6.5 installer, the contents looked remarkably similar.
I am following instructions from this page for getting iTunes 10.7 working on 10.12 Sierra. Instead of using iTunes 11 to replace files in 10, I am using iTunes 12.6.5. and I am doing this on Leopard.
I am stuck on step 7 and 8. The version of stripcodesig that is linked to the page doesn't work in Leopard. When I searched for stripcodesig I cam across this GitHub Page. Can I build this for PPC? Or is there an equivalent program I can use? I have never built anything before (this whole process is just a learning experience).
If anyone has tried this and it didn't work, which I assume is very likely to be the case, let me know. If you see any obviosu reason why this won't work I am all ears. Or, if you think there is even a shred of hope, I'd like to know that too!
