And now we sit back and watch as people suddenly find an issue with their device that they didnt notice this morning.

Or as in most cases they now imagine an issue.

Yup. I keep looking at my less than one week old watch straining my eyes to see an issue. I didn't get AppleCare + on it either, although I guess I have time to decide on it. This seems like one of those issues that goes beyond Apple Care + though and they may cover it out of warranty.

Right, but it's comforting to know for those who do find this issue, at least Apple is acknowledging it. Because this is the first I have heard of this until today and it's a good resource to have for this issue.

I can imagine this being like those pregnancy forums my wife used to visit where people would post pics of their pregnancy test sticks asking "can you see a line? I think there is a line and if I put it in photoshop, invert the colours and increase the contrast... PREGNANT"

Just waiting for the "can you see a line in this picture?" Posts.

Question, isn't that what tech forums are for? That when someone has an issue or possible concern with a product, they bring their concern to other tech enthusiasts who may be able to Offer opinions based on their experiences or knowledge?

And for the record, this new possible defect is obviously a concern for Apple to address this as a whole And made it known to consumers what options they have.

When they appear, are they really noticeable? I'm sure there are a lot of people struggling to see if they have the issue.

They appear left side of screen, not in OLED display, but in that black area with no pixels. Stripes show up on 38mm when there's moisture on the screen. I'm glad that it will be fixed if needed.

I wonder what caused it... will all Apple Watch S3 develop it over time?

I don't think "All" the Apple Watch Series 3 will develope this over time. But given that Apple is announcing the issue, more reports will surface of this occurring with other Apple Watch users in the future.
