So I just dropped my Macbook Pro 16 at the apple store for a repair and the genius technician just called me telling me that there was broken screws inside the top case with some glue holding a part.

The Macbook Pro has been bought brand new at the Apple Store 1 year ago by myself with the Apple Care.

Does anyone had a similar experience. The genius felt very suspicious about the fact that I didn't do anything

Never heard of such a thing but aren't this sealed and only accessible to authorized service centers with the proper tools? Unlike my 2011 I didn't think we could do much inside these MBP 16 models.

That is definitely not normal. It sounds like someone on the assembly line got sloppy and tried to cover their tracks.

The tech can’t deny the work unless he can prove you are to blame, which he can’t do.

They're not sealed in the sense that they can't be opened at all. It uses the same screws as the Retina models always have. The bottom cover is a BIT more of a challenge to remove and properly reinstall than the previous (2012-2015) Retina models, but it's certainly possible to do.

That said - once the tech has opened it they would have a hard time proving they were not the first to do so, aside from there being mysterious items inside unless they had observed and photographically documented issues or tool marks on the screws.

Hello
Iwill give you a opinion about, it happens to me.
I recent have to replace a macbook pro display, and the last two screws from the antena did not came out... the solution was:

Buy this: https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url...ved=0CAIQjRxqFwoTCOD256XTuO8CFQAAAAAdAAAAABAD

Next fill the screw, and make a mark with a screw driver.
Let it dry one day.
With the screw driver that made the mark, use it and remove the screw.
Done.
Worked with me.

PS: Sorry about my English, not the best, hope you understand.
